  1. Have I just missed where you got the mulch kit? I have the 54d, 1025r. Searched Green Farm Parts, but didn’t see it. Any help is appreciated.

  2. Can you tell me how well the mulch kit works for cutting grass? Do you need to slow travel speed down or anything? Do you use it all the time when mowing?
I have a new 2025r with 54d. Thinking about buying the kit.
    Thank you

  3. It is ‘good enough’, I suppose. I do in fact leave the mulch kit on year-round. I like that I don’t have to bag, and that it mulches really well.
On the downside, it does not “lift” the grass as well, so it doesn’t cut as well. This is most noticeable when turning on uncut grass.
Overall, I don’t mind it because it does such a good job mulching. I only notice the cutting issues during early spring when the grass is most ‘green’.
    Does this help?

  4. Hi Tim. Me and my father are getting a 1025r within the next week or so and a material collection system is absolutely necessary for us. I didn’t know if you knew about one for the 1025r. I’ve done some research on my own and saw they had a three bag dump model, and then I found the MCS 580h https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDto3cweCfk. This collection system seems much more advanced than the three bag option and I think is ultimately necessary for our property. We live in a wood lot and only mow our lawn when there are leaves on the ground. But there are spots where the mower deck cant pick up the leaves which forces us to rake them. This can take us two weekends to complete and this system offers the ability to detach the hose and use it like a vacuum because there is a fan connected to the rear PTO. We already have a tractor that can do this but is over 30 years old and has over 3000 hours on it. This feature is really important for our fall cleanup schedule and the three bag system feels like a downgrade from our current system. The only problem is that I cant seem to find this for sale anywhere in the US. I even asked my dealer, but they didn’t really know what I was talking about. I didn’t know where to go to find some information so I came here. I hope I don’t waste too much of your time. I also left this reply here because I didn’t know where else to put it. Thank You in advanced.
